Notifications
gbans surfaces notifications to players in two ways: an in-app notification center, and — for match results — an in-game private message.
In-app notification center
The notification bell in the top bar shows your unread count and links to
/notifications. From there you can:
- Browse your notifications, most recent first, with their read state, severity (info / warning / error), message, author, and an optional link to the related page.
- Filter and sort the list.
- Open a notification's link to jump straight to the relevant page.
If your browser allows it and you've enabled it from Settings → General, new notifications are also raised as silent desktop alerts.
Match notifications
When a match you took part in is imported, gbans can send you an in-game private message linking to your match page. This is controlled by the Notify me in-game when my match results are ready option in Settings → General.
- Only players who have opted in receive the message.
- The message is only sent while the player is still connected to one of the tracked servers.
- Each player is notified once per match, no matter how many times they appear in it.
